Beach Mode
Beach Mode is Galeon's award-winning way to open the deck to the sea. At the touch of a button the bulwarks fold down flat, turning the solid sides of the yacht into two balconies over the water.
THE SIDES FOLD AWAY
Beach Mode turns the sides of the yacht into open, usable space at anchor. On most boats the hull is a wall between you and the sea. On a Galeon, that wall folds down.
TWO BALCONIES OVER THE WATER
The port and starboard bulwarks fold down flat and become balconies out over the sea. Many are glazed, so you can stand at the rail and look straight down into the water beneath your feet.
The deck you gather on now reaches the waterline on both sides.
SALON AND DECK, ONE SPACE
Open the retractable aft doors, drop the side windows, and the line between inside and out disappears. The salon runs flush into the deck, and the sea air moves straight through.
What was a cabin underway becomes open-air living at anchor.
A DAY AT ANCHOR
Beach Mode changes how a day on the water unfolds. Drop anchor in a quiet bay. The yacht opens up around you, and morning coffee happens at the rail, with your feet almost over the water.
By midday the balconies are a launch pad for a swim, and the kids are in and out without a ladder to fight. Late afternoon, the same space lays out for dinner as the sun drops, the sea a few steps below the table.
This is time spent low and close to the water, not up behind glass. Beach Mode gives a cruising yacht the kind of waterline living usually found on something far bigger.
BEACH MODE AND TERRACE MODE
Beach Mode and Terrace Mode are two different ways to reach the water. The 620 FLY runs both at once: Terrace Mode down at the waterline for the owners, Beach Mode opening on the deck above.
BEACH MODE
Beach Mode works on the main deck. The bulwarks fold down into shared balconies where the whole party gathers.
TERRACE MODE
Terrace Mode works one level below. It drops a private balcony off the lower-deck master cabin, so the owners step from their own suite straight to the water.

Galeon pioneered Beach Mode, and the 500 FLY brought it out in 2015. It was the first yacht to turn its own topsides into balconies over the water, and the idea has shaped the range ever since. Today it is one of the most recognised features on a Galeon.
Beach Mode features across much of the Galeon range. It started on the 500 FLY, now carried on by its successor the 520 FLY, and came to a smaller class with the 420 FLY. On the 620 FLY it works alongside Terrace Mode.
Beach Mode is built for time at anchor, where the balconies come into their own. At low speed on calm water they can stay open as you idle along the coast, keeping the deck close to the sea while you move.
Beach Mode opens the main deck for everyone on board. Terrace Mode drops a private balcony off the lower-deck master cabin. On the 620 FLY, both work together, one above the other.
