Inside the Galeon Shipyard: Yacht Production in Poland
Galeon builds in two yards on the Gulf of Gdańsk, in northern Poland. Both are the company's own. Every boat in the range starts here, whatever water it ends up on. Galeon has built here since 1982.
The Work Stays In-House
Galeon builds the whole boat in its own halls. Hull lamination, carpentry, upholstery, stainless fabrication, electrical systems and final assembly are all done by Galeon's own craftsmen, on the same site.
That is where a finish comes from. Owning the work end to end means nobody hands off a compromise, and it shows in the small places that give a boat away: how a seam sits, how a locker door closes years after delivery.
A prototype hall sits alongside the production line. Engineers and designers test mechanisms there and settle them before a model goes into build.
It is also why an owner has real room to shape the interior, with layout, timber and leather decided boat by boat, always by the workshops that will do the work.

Two Yards on the Gulf of Gdańsk
Both sites build boats at every stage at once: bare laminate in one bay, a saloon waiting on its cushions nearby.
Straszyn
Galeon started here in 1982, and Straszyn is still the company's home. The offices, the design work and a large part of production sit on one site. The smaller yachts in the range are built here, and the halls have been extended more than once to keep up with them.
Wiślinka
Wiślinka takes the larger boats. It has its own marina on the Vistula, where sea trials begin, and the Baltic is a short passage downriver.

Galeon Experience Days brings owners and journalists into the yards each year. The halls keep working while the visits run, so visitors see boats at whatever stage they happen to be in: a hull still in its mould, a saloon halfway through fit-out.

Every Galeon is built in Poland, at Straszyn or Wiślinka, the two yards the company owns on the Gulf of Gdańsk. Which yard depends on size: Straszyn builds the smaller yachts, Wiślinka the larger ones. Boats leave from there for owners in Europe, North America and further afield.
The boat itself. Hull lamination, carpentry, upholstery, stainless fabrication, electrical systems and final assembly are done by Galeon's own craftsmen, and one team stays accountable from the first layer of laminate to handover. That is also what makes layout, timber and leather a decision taken boat by boat.
You can visit the shipyard, though not as a public tour. Galeon Experience Days brings owners and journalists into the halls each year, and a Galeon dealer can arrange a place. Production runs as normal during visits, so places are booked rather than open to walk-ins.
Since 1982, and the company is still family-owned. Galeon began in Straszyn and has built there ever since, adding Wiślinka later for the larger boats. Four decades on, the two yards cover more than 34,000 m² and the range covers outboard cruisers, hardtops, skydecks and flybridge yachts.
