Although Galeon Yachts has been making high-quality boats and yachts for more than 40 years, the company’s presence within the U.S. market has only been within the past seven. However, since this highly recognized yacht brand in the East entered the Americas, it didn’t just create waves—it’s been a tsunami of interest! With over 400 Galeons sold since its debut in U.S. territory, boaters are seeing many more Galeon Yachts gracing the waters of the Western hemisphere as well.

Many Feet in Numbers

If you put it into perspective, more than 400 sales averages out to a total of 21,625 feet of Galeon models sold, when the average length of a unit is around 50 feet, which all adds up to a little more than four miles, imagine that? Speaking of distance, Galeon Yachts has come a long way since entering the U.S. market in 2016. Back then, Galeon sold 10 models ranging from 38 to 66 feet through its exclusive partnership with MarineMax, the world’s largest retailer of recreational boats and yachts. Today, Galeon Yachts continues to expand in the Americas, offering 18 models ranging from 32 feet with the sleek and sporty Galeon 335 GTO model to 83 feet when speaking of the luxurious Galeon 800 FLY.

Maximizing Power

Thinking back to numbers—another fascinating point of view is measuring sales by horsepower. The average amount of power it takes to propel a 50-foot vessel is about 1,500hp—and when combined with the approximation of Galeons sold, equates to an estimated 609,000hp, which would almost be the equivalent of six single GE90-115B engines on a Boeing 777, or close to 14 R.M.S. Titanic ships. Just think of all the power a Galeon has as it treks through the water at impressive top speeds! With well-known partners in engine propulsion, such as Volvo Penta, MAN Engines, MTU, and Mercury Marine, it’s not surprising how fast and far a Galeon will go.
